Stella's Story: Inspiring an Eagle Scout Project

At Thrive for Life Counseling, we believe in the power of connection, healing, and the extraordinary bond between humans and animals. One of the shining examples of this bond is our resident therapy dog, Stella. Stella, a disabled chihuahua, was adopted from the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) four years ago and has since become an integral part of our family and our psychotherapy practice at Thrive for Life Counseling.

Stella’s journey with us has been nothing short of miraculous. Despite her challenges, she exudes a resilient spirit and a loving heart that has brought comfort and joy to countless clients. Her presence has a unique way of easing anxiety and providing emotional support, making her an invaluable member of the Thrive for Life team.

Spencer's Eagle Scout Project: Giving Back to ARF

We are excited to share that Spencer Galyen, the son of Thrive for Life’s founder, Wendy Galyen, is working on his Eagle Scout Project to benefit ARF. Spencer is constructing a carport for the organization, providing a safe shelter for their vehicles and staff. This project is not just a construction endeavor; it’s a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the organization that brought Stella into our lives and the lives of our clients.

With recent storms in the area, ARF has realized the need for a carport to protect their vehicles from damage.  In addition, this structure will provide a shelter for the volunteers who walk the dogs on rainy days.  This project will enable ARF to continue their vital work of rescuing and caring for animals in need. ARF's efforts have made a significant impact on the lives of many animals and families, just as they did for Stella and our family. By supporting Spencer’s project, you are helping to ensure that ARF can keep providing their essential services.
